At around 8:15pm EST, Chunky from 92.3 NOW FM received a phone call from an angry listener who threatened to KILL HIM for dissing on Kanye West because of what he did at the MTV VMA's?
Did anyone else catch this???
 
I'm not a HUGE listener of 92.3 NOW but while I was browsing the iTunes Radio Directory, I saw that 92.3 NOW had a AAC stream so I was listening for a bit and it was just shocking. Although, Chunky seemed to have the mic on echo the whole time, did he do that all the time?
 
I normally don't listen to NOW, but my friend was listening and I was in her car. We were both shocked at that call. I have a feeling it was a publicity stunt. If it was a real threat, I think he would have called the police first and not aired the call.
Or maybe airing it was better than calling 911, because many cops (who listen to 92.3) would have heard the call, not just one (the dispatcher). Hopefully, they have the CBS building in lockdown. Chunky should get a police escort home tonight, if it is real.
While I hate Chunky, I don't want him to get killed.
