Was X106.7 Originally Going To Be "106.7 The River"?

I am curious, not just because of the new website domain that was registered right before the launch a couple of weeks ago, but did anyone else notice the first song played was Talking Heads' "Take Me To The River"? I believe that was the first song that played before a similar station with the "River" branding launched... Did Cox decide last-minute to drop the name and instead decide on "X106.7"?

It costs less than $10/year to register an Internet domain, so the registration of that domain doesn't imply anything. It was probably just a red herring that was put out there to muddy the water in advance of the Facebook contest. The song choice was probably a wink to those who read into the registration.

Probably when this station X1067 fails. 102.3 Was once World Class Rock a AAA format in Austin. My guess come after Thanksgiving it will be all Christmas music and then on the Day after Christmas 106.7 The River will launch. Would not surprise me. But San Antonio had 2 AAA formats in the past, KMFR on 103.7 and KFAN 101.1 which went head to head with KQXT 101.9, and KMIX 106.7.
