Wasn't KTU doing well before the "Movin" switch?

Now that WKTU has gone "movin" focusing on Adult women I have to ask... Weren't Adult & Young Females listening to it anyways? Who saids Adult Women don't want current dance music in the mix (Like the amount WKTU was playing not Pure dance)? If all NY hears on the radio these days is worn out wedding type disco, 80's music and songs from the 90's, we are never gonna have enough newer music to become classics because they were never given a chance like these songs were back in the day. Like if The Real mccoy came out today with their hit song it would never be a hit with these movin formats cause they don't think about breaking new dance music.

Thats the exact point of The Metro New York Dance Radio Coaliton. We need a place to expose the mainstream stream to the future dance hits.

straight up:

Ktu was for queers and mix is for soccer moms.

i think its retarded for Clear channel to shun the lucrative gay demo, but then again, CC is based in San Antonio and there may have been other factors.

I have been listening to the Movin and Feel The Energy stations since they signed on and I think they're basically what KTU was/is... I haven't seen any major shift of KTU. they still identify and play new music, classics, new wave, free style... whats the difference? KTU is heavily dayparted, what you hear depends on the day!

I have noticed alot of that with quite a bit of CC stations. I live in Georgia Now. WQBT a Savannah URban Station almost Seems to have 2 Different Playlists 1 for Daytime (Lots of R&B) and another for overnight(Almost ALL Hip Hop). Some of the Hip Hop they Play over night wont see the light of day during daytime hours

They've gotten rid of the "Breakouts" like Bob Sinclair "Rock This Party", Peter Luts "What A Feeling", Evermore "It's Too Late (Remix), David Guetta "Love Don't Let me go". With NO MORE coming in the future! They got rid of dance currents like Luz Divina "You Shine On Me", Bob Sinclair "Love Generation". They've decreased spins for all currents and are keeping only the "Biggest" ones, most of them not even dance or dance remixes. They got rid of the Top 8 @ 8 too. Why? Because they don't want to play hot songs with a sprinkle of the breakouts that might upset their consoultant.

They WERE heavily dayparted but now its 24/7 except on Friday/Saturday Nights.
