Waste of space

Last night the Chicago Cubs caravan came rolling through Freeport with very little presence at the event from Big Radio. I think a couple of news people were there and that's it. From what my sources tell me No Don Werntz, no Scott Thompson, no on air or sports people!
Here you have an event Freeport has never had before (and may never have again in a city of 20,000) and Big Radio was just 2 busy 2 be there. While the folks at "big" are wondering why sales are horrid and they are looked at as the Monroe stations and not Freeport, maybe it's things like this are the reason why. They should have OWNED THIS EVENT! 3 hour remote, interviews, Donny as MC etc.....It's a shame....Freeport deserves a community radio station that cares about it and not serves only to make sales to pad Scott's pocketbook!

The question you need to ask yourself "Wholelottadoug", was there a way that Scott Thompson could have squeezed coin out of everyone in attendance?? If the answer is YES, BIG DUMB Radio would have been there!
Maybe the morning show guy, "Puker" from 93.7 could have greeted people at the door! Free haircuts from Jim Douglas??
