As I was checking out the TAB web site on the job opening page I noticed a listing for WMRO and at the bottom was a special note:

PLEASE NOTE!!!We are NOT looking for on-air jocks or production/promotion personel. If your desire those type positions, please don't waste our time and look elsewhere.

It seems it wouldn't be wasting their time since the person doing the work to put together a package would be loosing out on the effort. If they did get unsolicitied airchecks and resume's just file them away until needed. Just sounds a little arogant to me, or is it just me?

Not to mention that it is a tad bit rude of whoever at WMRO posted that. Makes you wonder what the work environment is like. No need losing any sleep over it though.<P ID="signature">______________

I won't miss any zzzzz's over them. I guess it just rubbed me the wrong way when I saw it.

As someone who's been on that side of the ad, they might be doing applicants a favor.

Every time I have ever run an ad for a salesperson, I've gotten five potential jock applicants for every sales applicant. They're willing to try sales to get their foot in the door until they can live their dream.

Standard line...I don't know much about sales, but my friends day I have a good voice and I really love music.
