WATD wins Edward R Murrow award

Not surprised.

WATD has long been known as one of the best "small" or "suburban" radio stations in the country.

They seem to do everything first-class.

Owners of other small or suburban stations, in New England and elsewhere, should seriously study WATD to find out how this kind of radio can and should be done.

Yeah, look of the waste of a good signal WEZE at Marina Bay in Quincy has become. The cash for prayer station.

That doesn't compare. WEZE is not an independently owned suburban station like WATD. It's a Boston licensed station owned by Salem Communications, a company that owns religious stations like their Boston stations WEZE and WROL, and right-wing religious-based talk stations like their WTTT, nationwide.

I agree with everyone. I work for both stations in Marina Bay and Marshfield and they are two completely different animals but both great places to work.

We actually have another WATD person on this board so that makes 2!

I would like to make it three.. all I have to do is convince Ed Perry to hire me.

WATD is a class act station, and I from what I hear quite the unique work environment. The Perry family, and staff are recipients of many industry awards for excellence in broadcasting.
