Watercolors

Welp it's been 2 weeks since XM / Sirius combined channels. Looks like Watercolors won out over the sirius c jazz channel. Watercolors still sounding good actually have heard a few obscure tracks in the past 2 weeks. Best of both worlds though as XM picked up the Sirius chill channel which was much better then the XM version in my opinion? I do miss FRED on XM though.

Enjoy it while you can.

IMO XM/Sirius is history in a year or less if you look at their balance sheet.

Pieces might be picked up by someone else, but who wants to invest several billion per year on a company with such a high expense ratio, especially in this market environment.

XM/Sirius will probably go to short repetitive playlists (even more so than now) to try to "save" themselves because that's how Karmazin and other corporate radio guys think, when what they actually should do is provide an alternative to corporate radio.

I have already heard the shorter playlists on the other channels but honestly Watercolors is still sounding good. Spent 6 hours in the car 2 days ago and it was listenable. They swapped First Wave for Fred and it is horrible. Seen U2 at least 6 times and do not need to hear them every 2 hours.

So far I'm okay with the changes, we XM folks came out better than I thought we would. Watercolors is sounding fine that's probably the man reason I got XM. We can't seem to keep a good Smooth Jazz format where I live. Now if they could get a good Standards format in place. I've heard better and done better than High Standards and Siriusly Sinatra.

We actually have a good standards station but it doesn't have enough power to make it around town. They did one good thing and put it on the internet.
