Possible. Maybe that is why they had Latino on both 107.1 and 93.3.Work still going on with the damaged antenna? I was in San Marcos a week ago and during a quick bandscan I found KLZT with a good signal but no HD.

That happened a few days after it was moved off of 97.1.This is late, but when we are tlaking about HD-only station there is an element of... if a tree falls in a forest....
Anyway...
Austin City Limits Radio (ACL-Radio), which got banished from analog on 97.1 to digital only 93.3 HD-2 /streaming in late August has reverted to it's previous branding as of late November: "93-3 KGSR". Sometimes (HD-2) is mentioned and sometimes it is not. Also the previous positioning of "Radio Austin" is used occasionally. The old pre-ACL logo has returned as well with the HD-2 designation added.
I guess the ACL branding agreement was not renewed. I haven't listened much since it was moved to digital only, but the music mix seems mostly the same to my ears.

Are you sure about that? I'm pretty sure it was still ACL on the website earlier last month or in late October. That happened a few days after it was moved off of 97.1.

The FB profile album shows the KGSR logo added on November 19th.
How long before 93.3 flips yet again?
The Vibe is struggling mightily in the AQH share department.
Will AM 590 ever gain an FM simulcast on a full market signal? (Granted, such a move hasn't helped WBAP in the DFW market one bit.)
I haven't heard KGSR broadcasting from Bertram in several years.I would move the ESPN format from 102.7 to 93.3. If 93.3 is still on the Bertram Tower, going mono with the signal may help in certain areas. KLBJ does well on 590 and a 99.7 simulcast (at least now).

Curiosity: why do you find the Latino format non-viable.Based on Waterloo's previous formatting decisions, it seems that 97.1 and 93.3, could possibly see some changes in the near future.
I have sampled Latino (97.1) extensively, and it is really hard for me to see how it is going to catch on here in any meaningful way and I would not be shocked if KGSR made a return one day on one of the translators. But who knows.
thats exactly my concern as well, according to fccdata.org and radio-locator.com, they're still registered to the bertram site but yet theyre still using the in town transmitter, that doesnt make any sense to me.I haven't heard KGSR broadcasting from Bertram in several years.
They have an auxiliary license that is in town in case the primary site fails. The Bertram site is their only licensed site -- they can't move 93.3's primary facilities in-town being 2nd adjacent to 93.7. There does not seem to be any filings for a STA to use the auxiliary site because of problems with the main site. So, that would be problematic with the FCC if they are abandoned the licensed site and just turned on the back up site without any notice...thats exactly my concern as well, according to fccdata.org and radio-locator.com, they're still registered to the bertram site but yet theyre still using the in town transmitter, that doesnt make any sense to me.

As stated many times in this board, the type of immigrant who listened to this type of music back home lives in Florida, not Texas.I do not believe that there are enough spanish-dominant listeners in the Austin market who want to listen to tired english AC songs from yesteryear mixed with spanish-language presentation and commercials.
Ahh ok, I did notice that it seems like lately they’ve been switching the Bertram site on for a bit then switching back as of a month or two ago, I would only catch it for like 5 - 10 minutes then back to the audited guessThey have an auxiliary license that is in town in case the primary site fails.
