WAVJAZZ.NET 3rd Anniversary Celebration

Hard to believe that exactly one month from today (July 1, 2011), I will be celebrating 3 years on the air. Not sure where the time has gone, but again I want to especially thank my radio-info friends who have supported me, my vision, and passion over the last 3 years. I can't tell you how much enjoyment I have had getting to know everyone and sharing this wonderful music with you.

I plan on putting together a 3-hour program to commemorate my first 3 years on the air, but I need your help. Some of my longtime listeners may recall the Listener's Choice Hour I used to throw together on Fridays. But like in the "old days" of "The .wav," I'll need your help :D. Shoot me your request by e-mail to [email protected] for your favorite Smooth Jazz song of all time, and it's in the program! It's that simple. In addition to first come, first served, there is a SMALL catch ;). If you can muster up the nerve, download a free copy of Audacity (or your favorite audio editing software), get behind the mic, and cut a short liner introducing yourself (first name and hometown) to other listeners, and the title and artist of your favorite tune of all time, and I'll roll it out in front of the track. I'd like to think I'll have at least 45 or so unique listeners who would like to participate, but as vocal as some of these folks have been by e-mail ;D, I can't seem to persuade them to be a DJ for 10-15 seconds. Look guys, I am no on-air DJ, so I don't expect you guys to be as well. But I do plan on canvassing a few on-air professionals I have a long-standing relationship with, like my man Bill Harmonic, The Future Of Jazz, Ted Hasiuk, Mark Stanley et al, for their choices as well. So PLEASE, come one, come all. The more time you guys are on the air, the less time I have to be, and that's a good thing! :D :D :D :D
