Listing to WAVL 910 They Have Local Programming, And Ken Hawks doing News.

Not any more! It has been off the air for days. Rumor is the owner is in the process of selling it to the Latrobe folks who own WCNS. If they really want to cover the Greensburg area, WAVL makes a nice addition to their daytime coverage.

I went to check the PBRTV site and found the following:

The new owners paid $50K and sold it to WCNS' owners for over $300K. Who said you can't make money with a small AM radio station.

Wouldn't this be considered profiteering? Colonial media just closed on the agreement April 26th , and June 20th they're selling the station to WCNS at six times what they paid for it. In 1975 WBCW 1530 ( now 770 WKFB) was for Sale After only being on the Air for One Year,I was involved with a group that wanted to purchase the station.Then Owner AL Calisti said he had to be on the air for one year or it would be considered profiteering by the FCC.

WAVL 910 has been off the air since the sale was announced.

WAVL is back on this Morning (7-9-16) with the Mountain Programming

They were only on Saturday 7/8,now off again. WCNS should begin simulcasting now

Monday August 29th WCNS 1480 is now simulcasting on WAVL 910 Apollo.

So now that PA talk 910 /98.7 WAVL is in place. Will WCNS 1480 get a FM translator?

Yep...1620 was on the air at the time. Always was. Always will be.
