Hey Ken.. I went to high school with Paul's son in Clarksdale. WKZB was broadcast on cable ch 21 in Clarksdale which helped give it much exposure in town.
The tower actually relocated south to the county line on the tower where WDTL was located. The drop in power was required because of the increased height used for the antenna at the new location. The effective signal would be the same distance as the 3kw/300ft old tower in Drew. The benefit was an even better signal in Cleveland than before and not having to bare the cost to rebuild the old tower. Larry Fuss had taken owner ship of WKZB at the time it was moved closer to Cleveland.
What years did you work in Drew? I was probably at WAID/WCLD or WROX I would guess depending on what years.
