That's sad. I just discovered their website last night and would've liked to check them out.

If you read their website, it has to do with royalties.

Thier HOST dropped them!! (They didnt really have a say)


I wonder if this host IS GOING TO DROP ALL STATIONS THEY STREAM??

WAVV discontinued its streaming a few years ago due to royalty issues with the intent of streaming once the those issues were resolved. I assume the most recent streaming discontinuation is a result of the same issue reoccurring and management doesn't see any immediate or long-term benefit by continuing with the web streaming. It is indeed sad it has come to this. I personally very much enjoyed listening to WAVV's unique format.

Well you can blame all the ppl who want $$$$$ for songs being heard!!!!!! (No different than 1000s listening over the air with an analog radio!!)
