Way-FM is on air in Birmingham and Auburn

As of two weeks ago, I noticed Way-FM has gotten their translator at 91.9 in Auburn on air. The translator covers Auburn, Opelika, and Loachapoka well. Last week, I noticed Way-FM has their xlator up and running on 89.9 in Birmingham.

In other news, I've forgot to mention that WGZZ HD 3 in Auburn is now operating on 94.7 FM as "Star 94.7," playing a mix of what I call "modern adult standards" lol.

Modern adult standards? Like oldies, or… easy listening? ???

Did you have to notice where the Birmingham WAY-FM translator was strongest? It's licensed to Fultondale if I remember correctly and the CP is for Red Mountain with the same 10 watts.

I heard the WAY-FM translator in Alabaster today, not too far off of I-65. The signal was audible but very weak.

I noticed Way-FM's signal first around Oxmoor Rd. The signal seemed strong, and began to fade north of the Hwy 31/ Future I-22 interchange (Corridor X).

In addition, I call modern adult standards music such as Amy Winehouse, Michael Buble, and other "starbucks coffee" sounding music lol ;D

That sounds like the CP on Red Mountain, then. Man, it must be getting crowded up there on those towers.

I don't know what the official name of that type of Starbucks soft music is. Soft AC is what I've selected on my website unless there's a better descriptor.

AFAIK, Birmingham proper is not too saturated with Christian Contemporary music. There's this station and 93.7 WDJC. Way-FM isn't going to dent WDJC's ratings anyways. But, it will be another choice for those who follow the format ;)
