WAY-FM Joins IHeartRadio

Fourteen WAY-FM Christian stations join iHeartRadio

WAY-FM’s non-commercial Christian music and talk radio stations have joined Clear Channel’s iHeartRadio online radio platform, including 13 local station and one national WAY-FM feed. The alliance includes outlets based in Louisville, Tallahassee, Panama City, Charleston, Nashville, Wichita, Gadsden, Huntsville, Colorado Springs, Denver, West Palm Beach/Ft. Lauderdale, Portland and Ft. Myers/Naples. WAYMedia Founder & President Bob Augsburg says, “This new relationship with iHeartRadio coincides perfectly with WAYMedia’s 2020 vision, which outlines (our) commitment to make our content available on as many platforms as possible.”

This is certainly good news. WAY-FM's iPhone app works on some of their stations, but not on others. iHeartradio may be more reliable.

WAY-FM was available on Tune In Radio, but will this mean they'll be dropped there? I know that K-LOVE and Air 1 were.

I have a Blackberry for work, but I don't get to stream much since they don't allow it, except for when I'm at home on my wireless network, or somewhere with Wi-Fi.

WAYFM Actually joined iHeart awhile ago.. :)

My understanding is that since wayfm is not as focused on NTR as Clear Channel and other groups are.. that you'll still be able to listen to them via their websites etc... in fact the urls I have programmed into the STREAMS app I use on my iPhone still work for the various WAY stations I listen too.

The reason folks such as Clear Channel, Cumulus, CBS etc.. limit you to listening to their stations via their platforms is those companies want you to see the ad impressions in their streams... they can't do that if you can listen via 3rd party players.
