Way-FM Networking Policy

I am basically wondering how Way-FM (the one based in Nashville, TN) decides to add stations to its network. Over on the Cleveland and Pittsburgh boards there has been mention of a 107.1 FM WEXC Greenville that is moving to a "younger skewing Christian format." Since this station is listenable for me at college, I am very interested in the direction it is going.

So, for the slight chance that the "new" owner goes with a satellite feed of some sort, what is the likelihood of maybe Way-FM getting picked up? radioelizabeth, I know you mentioned you used to work there; maybe you have info on this? (oh, and by the way radioelizabeth, I visited your website and saw all the artists you had pictures with. I was amazed... thought it was cool)

Also, if Way-FM is not an option, what other "younger skewing" satellite feeds might be out there?

My suggestion would be to visit the network site http://waym.wayfm.com/stationlist.html and fill out the form at the bottom of the page if you're interested in getting the station on in your area.

You can also contact any of the station managers for more information. Network Programming is based in Nashville. Network PD is Dave Senes. Affiliate relations are based in Colorado through Faron Dice.

If this station is considering satellite feeds, they could come on as an affiliate of CHRSN, carrying the hours they choose. According to CHRSN's own press, contact: Faron Dice, CHRSN Affiliate Manager [email protected]

Thanks! My designers did a fantastic job on the site. Very pleased with their work www.eightmedia.com based in the Netherlands. Appreciate the compliment. Lots of years with lots of different folks...and more to come...

There's also Air1, run by Educational Media Foundation (rock-leaning Christian CHR); RadioU, based in Columbus, Ohio (Christian Rock, although they report to both the Christian Rock and Christian CHR charts); the Michigan-based WAY FM ("hot" Christian CHR) and The Effect Radio Network out of Idaho (Christian Rock).

It would take an affliate agreement with WAYFM (their network is known as CHRSN) a receiver a computer and a satellite dish.

RadioU and others takes simular rolls.. If you really want to see that station go Chrsitian in that direction, you should contact the GM or PD and suggest that... The more people in an area that support a format, the more likely chance of it happening. <P ID="signature">______________
