WAY-FM to Panama City?

I see that WJNF Marianna has just applied to upgrade their facilities and serve Panama City at 88.3fm. WAY-FM Media Group in the process of buying the Marianna based signal so this would Give WAY coverage west of Tallahassee.

wow, doesn't the Panama City area already have enough religious stations? Oh yeah, right right... lower Alabama, bible bumper capital of the world... Hey, while we're at it, why don't we add another country station to an already saturated market... What a waste...

There is no full-time Christian music station in Panama City. While there may be too many "religious" stations serving the area there still is a format hole. WAY just turned on 2 translators in the area which will probably stay if the WJNF upgrade is approved.

and remember...on WAY-FM they're not spots...they're "underwriter messages"

Do people listen to this stuff?

I listen to 95.7 on occasion and (despite the background noise from their AM) it's a decent station.
WPSM 91.1 has audio problems (I think they got a new studio)

I don't know about the rest in the 88.1 to 92.1 FM band here in Navarre/Fort Walton
