The Zone is now playing music from 90's all weekend. I like it, better then hearing the same songs over and over again. What do everyone else think about it?<P ID="signature">______________

Haven't heard, but The Zone's target audience is probably saying WTF...

Technically, the Zone's target audience is 18-34 females. They should remember the 90's! However, many of their actual listeners may be having that response. What's kind of funny is that I worked for a CHR a few years ago that did the "90's at noon." It lasted a few months and disappeared suddenly and mysteriously!

I for one actually enjoyed The Way Back Weekend. Heard a couple of songs I hadn't heard in a while. I thought it was something refreshing and different. I'm not a female but I do fall into that 18-34 demo

I still wouldn't knock it. I used to live in VA in the mid-to-late '90s and trust me, I thought Hampton Roads was Radio Purgatory back then. Especially after Z104 flipped from Pop to Rhythmic CHR. I do agree though that hearing Journey on there is more than a little ponderous, but what other station (other than MAYBE 2WD) would air it?

Maybe The Zone will morph into a Hot AC...

No, NO HOT AC...Hampton Roads needs a POP station. Besides this POP station is already being noticed by the top CHR as one of the best up in line w/ NYC, LA, Tampa and other great CHR's...and jumping on new music as fast or faster than Z100 NYC, or KISS-FM LA

I think the Wayback Weekend is just to mix it up....and they are doing it again this weekend.

Norfolk needed a pop station the last TEN YEARS! BTW, Kiss FM in Jax has a similar thing on Sunday Evenings. Not bad!
