WAYC "Star 100.9" interfering with WKYE near Bedford

Multiple times in different vehicles on I-76 by Bedford I have noticed another station fighting for WKYE. On my most recent drive through the area I suspected WAYC "Star 100.9" was causing the interference, and sure enough, it was. The staticky Justin Bieber song cutting into 96.5 was being played on 100.9. My car radio is extremely selective, so I have a hard time believing a 190 watt class A radio station at 100.9 would affect 96.5 under normal circumstances.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does WAYC need better filtering, or am I getting some intermodulation between two stations? WAYC 100.9 Bedford and WFRB 105.3 Frostburg, MD could create an intermodulation product at 96.5, but that seems unlikely given that 105.3's signal shouldn't be strong in Bedford.
