Wayne Dolcefino Moves On

By now everybody knows that Emmy winning investigative reporter Wayne Dolcefino and KTRK TV have parted company. Now we know what Wayne will be doing for a living.

David Barron of the Houston Chronicle reports that Dolcefino is starting a consulting business.

He has formed a company called Dolcefino Communications that will deal with media training, crisis communications, political consulting and opposition research.

In short, he said, "I'm now going to help people deal with jerks like me. If I haven't perfected that, I'm in trouble."

As for why he left KTRK so abruptly, Wayne says only that he's not at liberty to talk about that.

hmmmm.....

I've known Wayne since we worked together at KTRH and I hope he succeeds in his new venture. I hope he realizes that media training and political consulting is a highly competitive field.

Some former broadcasters created this "field" back in the 60s, and a huge number of former broadcasters are doing it today.

You could fill up Reliant Stadium with the former radio and TV journalists who're now trying to make a living by teaching people how to deal with people like them.
