I think Wayne Cabot did DJ & news work on legendary WFIL in Phillly before coming to NYC.
I'd say Wayne on WCBS & Lee Harris on WINS are the top NYC radio news anchors today.
I think Lee did radio news in Chicago before coming to NYC.
 
Wayne did work at WFIL and Power 99 before he came to WINS, and then WCBS in '88.

Lee worked at KTAR in Phoenix, KMOX in St. Louis, and then WGN Chicago before he became part owner of WIBU Poynette, WI in the Madison, WI market in the late 80's... which rocked 1,000 watts of all polka. Seriously. It gradually went MOR, and then Lee came to NYC.
