Wayne Shannon Found Dead

Former KRON TV commentary/consumer reporter Wayne Shannon was found dead at his home of a
apparent suicide according to the Peninsula Press clubs website. Wayne graced the bay area's airwaves back in the
80' with his off the wall commentaries and hard hitting consumer affairs reporting.

Huh? Funny, I guess, but KRON decided not to renew Wayne Shannon's contract in 1988 or 89 -12 years before Young Broadcasting bought KRON, when it was still owned by the Chronicle Corporation.

I'm sorry about his death - it's very sad, but Shannon was an acquired taste, and I never acquired it.
