WAZY

Rumor has it Scotty Blades is on his way out the door at WAZY. I wonder why? wonder if the new girl isn't far behind, along with the PD they will hire right before the book.

I wouldn't say that. Just an empty feeling when u see a guy you've know for a long time have the love for his job sucked outta him. It's a shame. We go back pretty far. I wish him the best.

Unfortunately Artistic Media Partners seems to do that to some people.

If Scotty leaves, then that leaves Steve, the new girl and the new WAZY PD in the building. Thats one on air person for each station they program! Good job AMP.
 
AMP lost their ass in FW...which is why they sold to Hot. AMP is losing their ass in SB, can a sale be far behind there? Amp is also losing their ass in LF. The only place they're making $$$ is Bloomington.

The new PD at WAZY has already left the building. Scotty not far behind...and the new chick? She'll be the next PD.
 
Rumor has it Scotty Blades is leaving WAZY to go back to school. Seems like now is the time to do it since the station IS in transition. Heard they are hiring another Co-Host for Kim Iverson as well as bringing in a PD. Looks like WAZY is going to be under an overhaul, not only in programming but management too, some new station manager out of Bloomington took over a month ago.

We'll have to wait and see what WAZY can do with all the new people. Maybe the station is on it's way back up?
 
wazy was good last year what happen? artistic will sell lf but keep sb and bloom. the pd at u93/b97 is also pd at wazy on monday. they ned to go adult hits.

That AMP link must be out of date. Same website lists Carley and Dan on air but they're gone.Rick was manager at WAZY in 2006 and Ernie before him. Sandy is in Bloomington, unless that changed recently. WAZY website lists Arthur Angotti as manager. Heckuva a puzzle figuring out who's in charge... harder than one of those sudoko puzzles.
 
AMP Laf does not have a new manager from Bloomington. It is how they do everything, part time. Their Bloomington guy spends a couple days a week in LAF and also runs the stations in Bloomington. They will have him do that until Bloomington starts to falter, which it will soon because they just lost their top notch sales manager. The boy goes up to LAF once in a while too, just to have lunch it appears. The new PD lasted just shy of 8 hours at WAZY. I can't remember who had 8 hours in the pool? Do we have a pool on Kim? WAZY has already changed its music. Much more hip hop.....Sounds like it is back to pre-Baisden. Must be the South Bend influence. Was just listening to Blair Gardner on WLFF. They have Lia phone liners firing throughout his show. Wonder if anyone out on 18th is monitoring that. Steve can't do it all.
 
Man... what a freakin' mess. When do you guys think AMP will completely self-destruct?
 
When? They already have self-destructed. There is no more hope. They have no manager, no sales manager, no program director, a part time engineer, you can add up their four stations hours of operations......that would be 672 hours per week. They have live jocks a total of 15 hours per week....that's the wazy morning show. I think that calculates to being "live" 2% of the time. Remember when we used to talk about serving your community of license?
 
why focus on the negative. instead of ripping amp a new one, which they can obviously do on their own, why not focus on what good things schurz is doing.

The best radio station????

When they stop making such knee jerk decisions around there and keep some dang consistancy then I will be willing to take that statement under consideration. As far as CHRs go B has them won hands down in terms of programming and consistancy.

I wont argue with you about WAZY being the most powerful station in the area. They have a phenominal signal.

Probably not. On several occasions in the past the AMP stations have had bouts with long periods of silence, double audio and wrong localization audio playing before someone catches it.
