WB Daytime

With the CW taking over, do you think WB Daytime will still feature ER and 8 Simple Rules, or will it change by September. I think that ER mixed with 8 Simple Rules is a bad combination.

I don't.

Well...Perhaps back to back they are. But the whole "Primetime In the Daytime" isn't such a bad idea. Look at the TREMENDOUD success TNT has had with it. I'm surpised Viacom didn't try it with UPN. And I'll be equally surprised if the CW doesn't go ahead with the plans as outlined by the WB when there was no such talk of a merger.

In fact, I'd look for the CW TO EXPAND on what the WB had originally planned to do.

That said though, I would think KWGN would have a hard time snagging "ER" away from KMGH 7 who has the current local syndie rights to the show, but I could be wrong on that (I ain't like I haven't erred before :) ).

Just my $.02 worth :)

Cheers :)

I agree with Pat. I also recall reading that WB would eventually put reruns of Reba along the reruns on ER they show right now. I also wonder if soaps similair to Fox's upcoming "Desire" will make their way to the new CW network-maybe, if all of the zany stories on soaps these days and bad ratings haven't killed the genre.

I Agree With the Others

Actually, it's NOT a bad combination at all. Obviously you haven't been paying attention to television programming at all. Like I mean EVER? What audience do networks try to attract while the kids are at school?

Airing "ER" at 3pm ET then switching gears to shows like "8 Simple Rules" does just that. Aims for the adults during the day, then caters to the tweens beginning at 4pm.
