WB Fires Charlie Sheen from "Two and a Half Men"

Just that... The Warners' fired Charlie Sheen Tuesday from "Two and a Half Men," according to many sources.

It is unclear if "Two and a Half Men" will go on without Sheen, or just be canceled altogether.

From what I read, they haven't made a decision to axe the show all together but Sheen is gone.

Of course, Sheen has claimed he was always ready to go and work so he will probably sue and reach an out of court settlement for a few million dollars.

I wonder what CBS will do if the show is cancelled. Will they move "The Big Bang Theory" back to Mondays?

Probably, either way the BBT cast should ask for more money IMO

BBT cast got a big raise the beginning of this season but BBT isn't "2 1/2".

No Sheen means I wont be watching

Why? Cryer was the class act of that show. And the rest of the cast was great as well.

I agree with you, but I dont like firing for someone for who been fine whenever they showed up to work. Either way I'm sure CBS wont miss me as a viewer, I ratings person or how ever they're calculated now.

And yes while BBT is no 2 1/2, CBS is down (or will) 1 hit show might as well push the envelope

Sheen has stopped production multiple times by his antics and showed no signs of a long-term recovery. When he showed up he did his job but he didn't always show up.

Adding more dollars to the BBT cast is not likely to have any effect on the popularity or quality of the show. But now WB and Chuck Lorre can devote more time to BBT since 2 1/2 is likely off the screen for awhile.

If many of us relentlessly made a complete ass of ourselves in multiple public forums, and ripped our employers while doing so, we would probably get fired, too.

I havent seen it anywhere that Sheen missed tapings

It was mentioned in his "you're fired" letter that he missed at least one, completely, and was hung over at a couple.
There might have been more, I just skimmed it.

Even if you praise your employer in the public eye, any upstanding citizen with an employment that he/she honors must realize that whatever erratic behavior they may encounter in off-work hours may also misrepresent his/her employer to the point that it could lead to termination (e.g. most crimes or even a DUI).

this is really sad that one of the funniest actors on one of the funniest shows ever is so disrespected by a giant media conglomerate but we shouldn't be surprised should we.

As I've said before, the success of this show rests much more with the entire cast and the writing than it does with anything Sheen brings to the table. There are several actors I can think of who could have pulled his Charlie Harper character off and probably without all the disparaging and savage attacks upon his employers or the 'Lindsay Lohan' flaws. Sheen isn't remarkable as a person or as an actor and has just killed what was probably his signature role. Now it's off to the talk and 'reality' shows and very few will care.

I haven't seen the entire text of the letter sent to Sheen but from news accounts and a partial view it seems the missed taping was but one in a series of events that WB/CBS felt they could no longer tolerate. Sheen's behavior was becoming more and more irresponsible and was personally directed at Lorre and the other suits connected with his show. It is reasonable to assume there were efforts to work out their differences before pulling the plug but Charlie, for whatever reason, didn't go along. Nothing like biting the hand that feeds you.

I have loved the show and hope it can be resurrected in some fashion with what was one of the most talented casts in recent memory.

How do you think Time Warner Cable subscribers (especially in L.A. for the next twenty years) feel about TW?
