was just looking at some screen shot over at http://www.northpine.com/broadcast/captures/ And notice that KXVO 15 did not have the WB in its news shots...when looking at the web site I see both. WB15 KXVO and KXVO 15.. Is this happening in your home town?
Edited by DJO on 03/14/06 01:18 AM.

Is it just me or do the screenshots from that station feel like a serious throwback to the early 90s?
______________

Not yet in Boston and, as WSBK (UPN 38) is owned by CBS and WLVI (Boston's WB) is owned by Tribune, I would imagine that the heavy enphasis on those monikers will continue until the bitter end of the season.

Newscorp owned WWOR had ditched all UPN logos shortly after the CW deal was announced. Tribune ownew WPIX is still WB 11.
______________

Same thing in Atlanta with Tribune owned WATL 36 (WB affilate refered to by callsign) and CBS owned WUPA 69 (UPN Atlanta).

It will be interesting to see what happens, especially if either channel, especially with WATL in terms of naming (which will become independent unless they sign with My Network TV, WUPA is going with CW). The UHFs in this town hate being called by their channel number. (WGCL/CBS 46 did this for a while, but went back.)

News Corp was probably so upset with the CW deal that the logos from their UPN stations were pulled within hours of the announcement.
