"Coming up tonight on PHL-17... At 6, it's 'Too Close For Comfort'! At 6:30, 'Rhoda'! And, at 7, it's back-to-back episodes of 'Carter Country'!!! And.... Tonight at 8... A cameraman looks down at the ground THROUGH HIS CAMERA to make sure he doesn't trip over any cables while a walking interview is taking place... It's the return of..... '48 Update'!!!! All tonight on PHL-17, The Great Entertainer!"

("Stay tuned after '48 Update' for 21 hours of great shopping, religious programming, and encore presentations of 'English For Cab Drivers'.")
______________

Ch. 17 should go dance :)

(Actually, that's not a bad idea -- Make the audio feed a new commercial-free local Philly radio station, and just put commercials (with no audio, of course) and maybe a local event bulletin board on the video feed. Of course, portability would be an issue.)
______________

"Philly 17"

Or maybe, Milton Grant can purchase WPHL and rename it "Philly 17, Philly's Own Superstation." They already have the call letters to match... :)

Who knows, stranger things have happened. I remember one time in the late 1980s watching Channel 17 and the announced said, "WPHL-TV, Channel 17, Philadelphia, a TAFT station." (This was shortly after TAFT sold Channel 29 to TVX).

Wishful thinking there. Probably mostly first-run stuff, being TV-Land now exists these days.
