WBAV HD and the tropo..audio inside

2 days ago when the ducting was up....my morning commute starts in greensboro and ends in charlotte this particular day...in greensboro my HD radio was barely getting a lock on WJMH...but WBAV was blasting into greensboro..clear but no HD lock either.but the radio was trying...as I got closer to charlotte I noticed that WBAV was getting knocked out hard by WIKS...and the HD was doing some crazy stuff with it...

anyway...heres the audio...WBAV's analog and HD is not in sync by about 1/2 sec...the blending is very noticable....clips were recorded from about the kannapolis area all the way into charlotte to about the sugar creek rd area....I was driving...my car HD radio has line outs and recorded into my laptop..speeds ranging from 0-mph (85 bottleneck @ concord mills)...to about 75-80mph

That was an interesting audio.....
I also have a HD car radio and noticed several local HD stations being interfered with as there were many stations in the Triad & Triangle running strong in the Charlotte area. It was nice while it happened but didn't last long as it appears the tropo only lasted a day or so. This was my first experience while having an HD radio however and noticed that tropo plays havoc on many of the local station's sidebands with interference from distant stations. When an adjacent station from another market was strong, it was difficult receiving the local HD stations here. On the other hand, I was able to easily receive several HD 1 & 2 stations from the triad here in Charlotte... 93.1, 98.7, 100.3, 104.1, 105.7. Not bad when you consider they are at most, 1kw signals....
