WBAW finally obtains approval for Pembroke move

Unfortunately, that means 88.3 WAFJ (Augusta) will lose their very popular translator their at 99.3. Does anyone know what the format will be on the new WBAW?

If they were smart, I see spanish or gospel.

The latter would be a wicked money maker. The former wouldn't do too bad, either.

While there's plenty of espanol-types in SE GA, I'm thinking most of them are the migrant farm worker types, who would have zero disposable income. Those in Sun City-Bluffton-HHI who tend to work in construction would be a more attractive audience, and could better be served by a more localized station (low power...I'm thinking 103.1 or 104.9).

Gospel could be a good choice.
