WBAW's move to Pembroke...Dead?

Well, putting WBAW on 99.3 in Pembroke would have cost some $$$. Plus, it probably would have been a sub-par signal in a town with a bunch of sub-par signals. Would have been tough to make money...

Plus, I hear they're doing well with whatever format they're doing now (I think it's spanish)

WBAW's move to Pembroke...NOT Dead?

Bullie filed this application on January 9, 2007

Exhibit 1
Description: CONDITIONS

BULLIE BROADCASTING HAD ON ITS ORIGINAL CONSTRUCTION PERMIT A CONDITION THAT PROGRAM TEST AUTHORITY WOULD NOT COMMENCE AND SPECIAL TEMPORARY AUTHORITY WOULD NOT BE AUTHORIZED ON CHANNEL 257C1 AT PEMBROKE, GEORGIA UNTIL THE ULTIMATE PERMITTEE OF CHANNEL 256C3 ALLOTMENT AT BARNWELL, SOUTH CAROLINA COMMENCED OPERATIONS. CHANNEL 256C3 WAS A 'BACKFILL' CHANNEL FOR BARNWELL. AT THE TIME OF THE APPROVAL OF THE MOVE FROM BARNWELL TO PEMBROKE, GEORGIA, BARNWELL HAD NO OTHER BROADCAST SERVICE. THE STAFF THEREFORE NOTED THE CONDIDITION. HOWEVER, TODAY, THIS IS NOT THE CASE. BARNWELL IS NOW SERVED WELL BY RADIO STATION WDOG (AM), BARNWELL, SOUTH CAROLINA, FCC FAC. ID 24621, (FCC LICENSE BL-20060821ADZ). BECAUSE OF THE EXISTING AM SERVICE, NO CONDITION IS NECESSARY, AND THE LONG AWAITED MOVE BY BULLIE BROADCASTING TO PEMBROKE, GEORGIA CAN PROCEED UPON THE APPROVAL OF THIS INSTANT APPLICATION.
