WBBM FM new antenna

I saw on the FCC website that WBBM FM is changing it antenna. They are going with less power and now omni instead of directional. I assume this is for HD?

Likely because a little change in the coverage of a Chicago FM might pick up more population coverage than the entire population of either of those two states.
