WBBM Pre-Records Overnight Traffic

Ratings are 6am to Midnight only.

Traffic is usually subbed out to the traffic service providing all the stations. Typically the midnight to 6 shift is a lone person at the traffic provider. Thus, if WBBM is running the same report, so are the other stations in the market.

You don't usually program Waze or Google Maps for a trip you take every night and is usually trouble-free.
I always have Waze running on my commute just in case it detected a need to reroute along the way or alerted me to a slowdown ahead.
Yet it's the one night in 50 that you get stuck behind an accident. You didn't know about it because WBBM didn't tell you. You're not supposed to be checking maps or INDOT or ILDOT while driving. And you likely didn't check them before you put the car in gear.
Oh well. Check first. Live and learn on night #50.
