WBCB TO GO IBOC

where the hell is WBCB and why should I care??

It's in Levittown, Bucks County, on 1490, and you should care because it'll provide a really interesting test of what it will sound like when there's IBOC on two first-adjacent signals with significant overlap. WDAS 1480 already runs IBOC, and it and WBCB stand to wipe each other out across a decent amount of what was once usable coverage for each signal. <P ID="signature">______________

i'd love to know where you got your information from.

I would NOT question the info from Scott Fybush. He is well regarded in radio and TV circles. If ANYBODY knows ANYTHING regarding this "lovely" business we're in, Scott's your man. He is also a VERY good friend of mine. If he knows something about IBOC, WBCB or anything regarding radio or television (and virtually every market).... you can be sure it's the "real deal". Take a moment to visit http://fybush.com .

But he does have somewhat of an attitude problem. We all are not Einsteins in the business, when we ask questions, we just want simple, non-abusive answers.

i was not questioning Scott at all. i was questioning the original poster who said that WBCB will be switching to IBOC next month. I'd like to know who told that person that WBCB is switching over. with all the remote broadcasts they do, most via Marti-RPU is would be a pain in the you-know-what to try to deal with that delay.

Huh? What was abusive (or less than simple) about my answer?
