Not true. WFNZ has been very popular for many years.Charlotte does not seem to be a big sports radio town, probably why nobody seems to have noticed WBCN going off the air.
1240 is actually getting along quite well.Looks like we also didn't notice WGIV 1370 which lost it's lease at the same site has been limping along with 25 watts while they wait for a NEPA study at their new site. So the area has 3 crippled AM's 1240, 1370, and 1660 and as noted here few have even noticed. Who's next? Real Estate in Charlotte is crazy hot right now!
