What area of 24? I don't know if it's the same thing, but I always lose a cell call going north around Randolph/Stoughton. Maybe there's alot of interference with differnt signals in the air?

Ed: I thought you were a "rap king." So, why are you interested in the reception of a rock station? Shouldn't you be worried about stations like Hot 106 and Jam'n 94.5?

I think that you're picking up some e-skip or tropo conditions, where FM signals are hurled dozens of miles beyond what their normal signal areas are due to atmospheric conditions. DXers like it, and it usually occurs during nighttime hours in the summertime--but can occur at other times as well. It is also more likely to occur in coastal regions, but nearly not to the extent that AM signals do. Lately I've noticed Country 92.5 WWYZ out of Hartford, or Waterbury, or Meriden if you really want to be techical, on the Mass Pike where 92.5 The River WXRV/Haverhill usually comes in clear (along the Natick/Framingham area). Boy, was I miffed when I couldn't hear 'Morning Marley' last Wednesday morning!

1- WPHH-FM 104.1 Waterbury/Hartford, "Power 104.1", transmitter is on West Peak in Meriden, CT.

2- WWYZ-FM 92.5 Waterbury/Hartford, "Country 92.5", transmitter is on West Peak in Meriden, CT.

Speaking of which, what happens with 93.7 FM? Does "Mike FM" ever mix with WZMX-FM 93.7 of Hartford, a.k.a. "Hot 93.7"?

Yes, it does, usually in the Framingham/Westborough area. Kiss 95.7 also powers out WZID/Manchester and I've heard 99.1 WPLR/New Haven over WPLM/Plymouth on occasion.

I wish Hot 93.7, can knock off Mike off this planet . Hot 93.7 one of the best stations , in the U.S.A. . Mike FM, everything that is wrong with today Radio dial .

Not to mention that Mike displaced Star, which was the last decent attempt at a rhythmic station in the market. When Entercom did that, they dumped an awful lot of great talent into the street. I suppose I still hold a little grudge against "Mike" over that - as irrational as that may seem.
