WBCN or Sports Hub, good idea?

Was it a good move on CBS' part to replace WBCN with the Sports Hub (WBZFM)? Do the overall rating numbers of the Sports Hub exceed those of WBCN?

When WBCN was around I'd listen and then flip around to all the other rock stations too...but since BCN has been off the air I haven't turned into WAAF once and FNX only a few times....not sure why but since BCN is gone I've lost interest in the genre.

I agree that it was a good idea to form another sports station, but the question asked was if 98.5's ratings are higher than WBCN's ratings were before the switch. Does anyone have those numbers?

I agree with Travis, without BCN to listen to the other rock stations don't sound as interesting.

I'm somewhat surprised 98.5 isn't running spots for WBCN on HD-2, or otherwise taking advantage of its continued existence.

Meanwhile, Boston’s new FM upstart sports talk radio station, 98.5 The Sports Hub, continues to gain ground on competitor WEEI. WBZ-FM finished third in October among men 25- to 54-years-old, fetching a weeklong overall 5.9 share. WEEI was first with an 8.4 share.

'BCN was around 2. WBZ-FM is around 3.5.
