"WBCN" to America's talk?

I know this is about a certain station down in N.C. but kind of interesting: on the Charlotte board there was a link to what looks like a mockup of a webpage for WBCN 1660--links up top didn't work. But it says WBCN is "America's Talk".
I don't know what kind of talk hosts exactly but I have to chuckle at the possibilities for the station that inherited those heritage call letters (assuming they go rightie):

"Coming up next: G. Gordon Liddy, then Michael Savage. Right here on WBCN!"

That would be up there with "We got Metallica coming up for you next. Stay tuned to The Rock, 99.5...WCRB!" :)

(and PS, what's with the Roman numerals in lower right corner--since when is "9" depicted as "VIIII" not "IX"?)

Interesting about the web page!

What is the current format of this station keeping the BCN calls safe?

The webpage that was leaked turned out to be true. As you may have seen on radio-info's main page,
WBCN 1660 Charlotte is indeed turning to talk--conservative talk at that

>>The Charlotte Observer says the new format will feature a conservative lean, including syndicated talkers Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity, along with former WBT host Jason Lewis, now in syndication

I was only bringing it up on this board because it's kind of weird to have the WBCN call letters associated with
conservative talk...

It's kind of ironic and graphically illustrates what a complete 180 radio has done in 40 years.
