WBEB- HD2 IS ALL CHRISTMAS, IN OCTOBER

What is the deal, it is entirely too early!

For the three people who care about HD radio, they can always find another choice.

Love my HD radio, but what ever happen to old days of pop radio. When pop station would start playing one Christmas song an hour around Thanksgiving, then increase the rotation as nearing Christmas?

Old days are irrelevant. Business needs and strategies change.

Brother Ken, I'm with you. These days, you get tired of the Christmas music by the end of Thanksgiving weekend.

I still prefer the one an hour, then two an hour approach.

How soon before WOGL moves up their annual sacrificing of their own HD-2 channel ("I Love The 70's") for 24/7 holiday hits of their own?

Surprise. 98 OGL will be Christmas the day before Thanksgiving. They're going to take B on this year.

B101 hasn't had streaming online for two years now (with the exception of the yearly pre-Christmas stream).

A few stations are using Wowza servers for these "special event" streams such as the Christmas Music Preview on B101.
Direct URL here: rtmp://ccwowza.streamguys.com/holiday_wbeb
Player link here: http://www.customchannels.net/streaming/holiday_wbeb/radio/

Examples:
---KFOG San Francisco uses a similar player/server for their "10@10" 3.5-4 hour marathon (their weekday feature streamed in glorious monophonic sound ::):( back-to-back on a "loop" that gets refreshed on Friday afternoons).
Note: likely streamed in mono rather than available in stereo podcasts to avoid higher royalty/copyright payments.

---Merlin Media's WWWN Chicago and WEMP New York use these players/servers on their websites (they've since added duplicate streams via the Liquid Compass players/servers).

These streams have direct URLs that are incompatible with most (if not all) independent media players, which may likely be the intent of radio stations trying to drive traffic to their websites rather than having their streams ready available on "web-gatherering" sites and other applications such as TuneIn that may bypass the ads and flash players prevalent on station portals.

I checked out 97.5-HD2 "Now 97.5 For Christmas music yesterday on the Tunin app and that crap they was playing was NOT Christmas music I wish it was but Ben FM HD-2 work work as in 3 weeks it will be on B101 main Channel maybe even sooner!!
