I honestly quite like this station, actually is N°4 preset in my car radio, but I can't seem to understand the disparity on their playlist, for example, today Saturday they played this:
01:53 PM What I Got — SUBLIME
01:49 PM Time After Time — CYNDI LAUPER
01:46 PM You Can't Hurry Love — PHIL COLLINS
01:42 PM Runaway — Bon Jovi
01:34 PM Love Is A Battlefield — PAT BENATAR
01:30 PM Kids in America — KIM WILDE
01:20 PM Follow You Down — Gin Blossoms
01:15 PM In Your Eyes — PETER GABRIEL
01:11 PM 1979 — SMASHING PUMPKINS
01:06 PM Rebel Yell — Billy Idol
01:03 PM (Oh) Pretty Woman — Van Halen
01:00 PM Take On Me — A-HA
12:49 PM Smells Like Teen Spirit — Nirvana
12:46 PM Don't You Want Me — HUMAN LEAGUE
12:43 PM Bad Reputation — Joan Jett
12:40 PM Manic Monday — BANGLES
12:36 PM Kryptonite — 3 Doors Down
12:32 PM P.Y.T. — MICHAEL JACKSON
12:29 PM Invisible Touch — GENESIS
12:19 PM You Oughta Know — ALANIS MORISSETTE
12:15 PM Under Pressure — Queen / David Bowie
12:12 PM Who Can It Be Now — MEN AT WORK
12:07 PM Wanted Dead Or Alive — Bon Jovi
12:04 PM Two Princes — Spin Doctors
How the hell do you play "Kryptonite" by 3 Doors Down and then "Manic Monday" by The Bangles? Or "Don't you want me" by Human League and then "Smells like teen spirit" by Nirvana?
I know that it can be a commercial break in the middle, etc etc etc but just... I think the angle is way too wide... I know the claim of the station is "Playing anything we feel like", but still... Are they a ROCK station? An ALTERNATIVE station? An OLDIES station? An ADULT HITS station? Even an ADULT ALTERNATIVE station? Seems to me like Ben has quite an identity problem.
Maybe an expert can bring some light on this topic.
