That is an outstanding point!
Does BEN play commercials over the internet or songs during the breaks? I have yet to attempt to listen to any Philadelphia station over the internet...well other than Y100rocks.com...and if I am anything like the average male listener in Philadelphia, the curriosity of BEN wore off weeks ago. So, my guess is that BEN's audience comp will become very similiar to MAX, or whatever it was called last, in about 2 books.
Maybe GM's next move when BEN is on life support will be MEX - a spanish station on "shuffle" they could capture the hispanic listener! That's the next big trend, right? MIX, MAX, MEX...they could keep working all the vowels...MOX...MUX...or maybe they will stick with "name" formula and just switch the BEN to JEN? "Playing anything we want...based on our mood, the time of the month, and how much chocolate we have...".
(Disclaimer: this in no way is a dig at women...it's a lame attempt to be funny...if my wife was reading this she would kick my butt...)
