wbgz 1570 question

T.J.: I'm not sure that WBGZ was ever country. They apparently had a country show on the station, but prior to the talk format, I think it was a middle of the road format (MOR). Originally, the calls were WOKZ and the format was simulcast on 100.3 FM (which is now The Sound). The FM was sold off in 1978. Your best bet would be to contact the owner Sam Stemm, he's worked there for many years and could tell you for sure.

Re: wbgz 1570 question FOR RAY

Hey Ray:

I e-mailed Sam Stemm on Sunday Night and have not heard from him yet. Is this typical? Do you think you can get in contact with him?

I also e-mailed Ron Elz yesterday about KXOK. Nothing yet.

T.J.

I would give them more time. I'm not sure if Ron is at KMOX during the week normally (he works on Saturday night). Sam may be busy or on vacation, too.

WBGZ Info...

Sam Stemm can be reached at the station at 618-465-1570.
