Kila can tell you all about Cox and 95.7 JAMZ. The only time they are hype is when the Magic City Football Classic is going on in Octiber. Fridays were once live at the Fox Trap and Saturdays were at Platinum of Birmingham. If you think Atlanta is Urban saturated, Birmingham takes the cake. Clear Channel has that Urban translator there with NO LOCAL JOCKS so there is no competition for 95.7. Damn,Urban stations are selling out taking away mixshows & live broadcast. First syndicatin and voice tracking, now this. :'(

HOT 105.7 Montgomery: Another tragedy with that big ass signal! However, I like joJo Mctoy and his style of mixing.

i agree even wkkv in millawakee dont have no live mixshows either this trend goin around all over the country thank god we got live mixshows on wgci and power 92

Station hasn't been the same since Buck Wild left a few years ago doing the morning show. Where is he now anyway? Roy Wood was good for a little bit

Re: wbhj 95 jamz Birmingham alabama

Real talk, when has 95.7 Jamz ever been good except its first 2 years was on air? Cox doesn't know how to program a non-UAC radio station.

Hence why Birmingham is one of the worst radio markets for urban formats. In other words, that market hasn't been right since WENN was forced off the 107.7 frequency by the Dickeys...

Is Ricky Smiley on the air in Birmingham? if so...what station? I thought he was but I'm surprised he's not on Jamz. Thats where he started.

How come they never show up in the numbers? If Ricky was on Jamz, I bet they'd beat their sister urban AC again which they haven't done in years.

Well WBHJ is the last Cox owned urban not to go the syndicated route. And if u look at most major cities, it is now the urban ac that has higher ratings than the mainstream urban in this day of radio. It's gotten so bad to where rhythmics that were once heavy on hip hop and rnb went the "hip hop and hits" route instead.
