WBIB sold

WBIB-AM in Centreville is being sold. The company buying WBIB is named International J A D E Group. I thought to myself..."What in the world is that? Another shell company for the Reynolds"' lol. So I did a google search on it and International J A D E Group has a mailing address of 9170 Hwy 25 in Calera. So I did a search on that address and it came up with DHG Construction, with the same address. I thought that address sounded familiar so I looked it up on google maps with the street view. It pulled up the former WBYE studios here in Calera. That is why that address seemed familiar. The last time a construction company purchased a Birmingham radio station back in the late 80s....it didn't fare so well. Beyond bizarre...

There is no mention of the sale of the WBIB translator at 101.3 (W267DA), however, unless it will be filed later.

Correction: W267DA is indeed part of the sale. it is listed in the Asset Purchase Agreement.

Buyer Danny Hidalgo also owns "100 acres of farm land harvesting, picking and boxing tomatoes, lettuce, corn, watermelon, cantaloupe, squash, okra and peaches ready to be picked up by produce wholesalers for resale."
