WBLI HAS A NEW MUSIC DIRECTOR

Gabrielle Vaughn previously was MD, but let me just say - Tim Clarke is MUCH DESERVANT of this gig. Congrats to Tim!

completely agreed...although isn't he like 22 or something like that? thats amazing.

What does his age have anything to do with it?? If the guy's got skill, then age should'nt even be mentioned..it's like saying "oh I think he has type 'O' blood". Jeez

I think that his age is an asset for that job. He's exactly in the demographic that 106 is aiming for.

What would you prefer? Some effin' baby-boomer programming a station playing 2007-2008 pop music? EUWW.

I think he was giving a compliment that Tim Clarke has risen this far at such a young age

I've known Tim since he was 14. He did some voicetracking on an internet radio station I had while I was working part time in Syracuse and since then has plugged away at getting a break in the "real radio" business. He landed the internship at WBLI and in a very short time has done some amazing things there! He also voicetracks mid-days for me here and does an amazing job. I can't think of anyone who is honestly more deserving of this gig. He reminds me of myself when I was that age. I haven't met a 18-25 year old that passionate about radio in some time!

His age has nothing to do with it. It takes talent, which he obviously has and it also takes desire, something that has been lacking in this industry. If anything his age may be a benefit because of his ability to relate to the demo.

Tim is a talented guy, hard worker, and is well thought of in the building, he is a young guy, and what a chance for him to show his stuff and grow his career. He deserved the shot......way to go Tim!

Might be a great guy and well deserving of the position. Unfortunately, working at a Cox radio station just means plugging in the music the consultant tells you to play. But, it's a great title to have on a resume.
