Anyone know about the morning show producer opening at WBLI?

I'm out of the listening area and was thinking of applying, but don't want to get in a situation where the show is about to be shown the door or something like that. Additionally, does anyone know if this is a new job or if there was a previous person who didn't work out?

To go one step further, what would one think the salary is?

Thanks.

The show (poor at best IMHO) seems to have favor with management (poor at best IMHO). I don't know what happened to the previous producer, but I will tell you this, it is probably not much more than a gopher job where you actually get paid. If you have any kind of radio experience, Cox Long Island is one step above Barnstable Long Island which is four steps below Wal Mart. With the cost of living on Long Island, you'll do yourself a favor and look for something more cost effective locally.

If you are looking for an on air break, there are worse choices than BLI and this could happen if you take the producers job and end up with a weekend shift. But is it worth the pain?

BTW: I am not a disgruntled former or current employee, I choose not to work for radio on Long Island for a living so I can afford luxuries like food and a car. Long Island radio is this... I have a good full time job and I work one day a week a W---
