The only white DJ I know of working at BLK was a PT guy that went my Chris Kelley, we also worked PT at Kiss when I was still there, I don't know if that is who you are referring though, you said the guy you were thinking of was good.

didn't you get demoted off Kiss?

Demoted? Interesting way to put it. Maybe derailed by Brian Burns, the worst program director to even run that staion. I worked there from 1989 to 2000 when I moved to Kansas City. I was on the air right up to the day I left for KC.

Interesting to see the different takes people on here have, especially the ones that have never worked a munite of their lives in radio.

Yeah, youre the one who did one shift on the weekend at Kiss, after Brian Burns derailed you. You always used to breathe heavily, before you took your breaks. I hate when I hear jocks do that. Plus you used to scream on the air, and sounded fake.

Breathed heavy before breaks, huh, interesting feedback. Screaming on the air, seems to me that there were a number of us in the early 90's that sounded like that. I believe they style changed over the course of time but what do I know, I only spend a decade or so working in radio so I don't know much about it. Ding the fries are done............

what market is KC, i don't think it's even on the top 50 in the ADI. so I never worked in radio, but I do listen as a listener, which gives me more of unbiased view, I just call it like I hear it. No offense to you, but I think you were too much trying to be another Donnie Walker, but you could never equal Donny. Where are you now, posting on this board, because you can't get hired back at Kiss? Why don't you try to go back there, I'm sure they might consider a third rate Donny Walker.

Why don't you two get a room and leave the rest of us out of it?

For the record, Kansas City, Missouri is market 29.

ADI is a TV term, meaning Area of Dominant Influence.

Radio, in particular Arbitron, uses MSA (Metro Survey Area), TSA (Total Survey Area) and DMA (Designated Market Area.)

And for the record, Ken Casey, the guy who worked at Kiss about ten years ago, always sounded like a jock who could fill in for anybody at Kiss and not miss a beat. Don't know the dude, but he deserves better than to be ripped on the board.

Oh, and if we can't leave the bile outside, at least leave it to the people who have a few scars, good aim and a little seniority on this board.

Peace, out. And like that.

Why not try using private messaging instead of publicly calling out a DJ you don't like?

You really have to do the job to know the job.
I think Mr. Kassey did a fine enough job.
The job isn't always as easy as it looks or sounds.

Trying to get as much information in as possible, in as little time as possible, hitting a post, and all the other fancy stuff that creeps into the job wether you like it or not.

Oh yes, and being dictated to about when your breaks will be, and how short they must be.
Ofcorse, someone out there most likely thinks I'm talking about a coffee break when I most certainly am not.

Yezi, you're not much of a speller and we've had issues in the past, but you hit a walk-off home run on that last post. Erratically written, mangled spelling, but very WELL SAID! Props to you, boss.[/MR]

It was Casey, that downed another dj first, I liked Chris Kelly on the air, and I think he deserves better on this board as well.

Thanks. I've written better before. Must be the whole Christmas rush thing messing me up a bit. ;D

The least I could have done is verify the correct spelling of a person's name before mentioning it.
Sorry Mr. Casey.
