WBLS Streaming Is Back For Now

I just checked the TuneIn app as of today that the streaming from WBLS is back for now after a three day absence of not hearing it, but all you hear is a lot of dead air for three days, and finally missed the Hal Jackson's tribute on "Sunday Classics". I was going to record that show since I left it on right up until the battery get low on my iPod Touch using a Voice Memo app where I put a mic next to the clock radio, and then after I came back, the battery is getting low, and tried to charged it and suddenly, it gone static while it was charging. That stinks! I missed the tribute show to Hal Jackson the other day. All I have is the last weekend of "Kiss-FM" at 98.7 from late April which I've posted, but I was not able to do, because of static from a radio that it was charging. I also checked back on TuneIn that I checked the WBLS stream and it was still nothing, just dead air on the stream. Looks like WBLS was having some technical difficulties during the last three days. What a bummer!

After that, I go to the Fox Oldies section on my TuneIn to record RRR with the late Dick Clark and it is one of my favorite shows than Hal Jackson did playing 50's and 60's oldies as well as I did record the third hour of that show, but I missed the first two hours of that show.

As I said once again, the WBLS stream is back for now after I used TuneIn.

Is it in stereo? I don't hear stereo effects on there stream for a long time, that's a bummer.

Edit: it's in stereo again, audio quality is still a bit crappy and off level sometimes.

I noticed it too. WBLS moved into the Emmis building over the weekend along with WLIB. Maybe thats why it was offline. The website did mention that.

Abacast, the stream provider for both WBLS and WLIB went through a major server upgrade, affecting many of its client stations over the holiday weekend. Back to full strength now :)

Full strenght maybe, but a little bit with level issues. No limiting/compression to keep everything on one level, I guess :( Why is it so hard to modulate a stream correctly like the off air signal, that's a big issue for lots of radiostations in the US.
