The post that started this thread mentions that her husband has a pirate radio past.

Ugh. Someone fix the code on this,please, before it infects every post in this thread. I'm not sure how to fix Wimmex's error.
 
After a couple of days running previous format, WBMS 1460 Brockton is now running French-language (Haitian). Man speaking. then short song etc--levels slightly low.
(They are testing. Testing, one, two, three..un, deux, trois...)

This is really interesting. I recall Ed paid I believe $165K for this 9 years ago. He just unloaded it for a reported $350k. Some one correct me if this is wrong. No doubt he put money in it. Not exactly a killing. But Ed is a sort of Benjamin Graham cigar butt value investor (Buffett’s College Prof)…a Depression era style that says if you pick up a discarded cigar butt you get a puff or 2 for free. Ed has taken discarded radio equipment, stations, you name it—fixed it and operated/flipped it and made fortunes for at least 45 years I count. One of a kind. A true legend,

The spoken language of Haiti is Kreyol, although French is the language of official government (useless, since the government barely exists any more). Haitian Kreyol is different from the Creole of other nations with French heritage.
