WBMX/98.5 IBOC back on.

Well, it looks like WBMX has reactivated its' IBOC transmitter. This time, its' IBOC audio is in sync with its' analog component. I'm sure that WODS will be firing up their IBOC anytime now. I'm no big fan of Ibiquity IBOC, ....hardly. The only good thing of WODS going with IBOC is that they plan to put pre-Beatles oldies on the HD-2. This I would like to see. Otherwise, at least in this market, the HD factor is really a real YAWN.......... Other than WROR's "Nothin' But The 70's" HD-2, there is nothing to warrant the purchase of another HD radio. I would love to see someone put some Old Time Radio shows on one of the HD3's in town. Maybe then, I might consider another purchase.

I actually often run WZLX HD-2 "Lost Classics and Deep Tracks" in the background at home. It plays a lot of the music from the heyday of late '60s and '70s "progressive" AOR which I enjoyed, and many songs that they haven't touched, if ever, on their main channel for many years.
