WBOC FM on 102.5

I just heard WBOC FM on 102.5 Probably took over WOLC in Princess Anne MD? Playing best of 80s 90s and Today type of format.

I grew up watching WBOC-TV 16. The idea of them buying a radio station is pretty strange. I haven't had a chance to listen to the stream yet but I imagine it sounds pretty professional, but if it's just another AC then how does it expect to take on WQHQ? That's been the dominant AC on Delmarva since, what, the early 80s, hasn't it? Given that WKZP's signal is middling at best in Salisbury, I wonder if WBOC-FM would have been better off going CHR. Is WBOC-FM distinct from WQHQ in any way? Hotter AC, softer AC?

The times I've been in Salisbury WBOC-FM sounds a tad lighter than WQHQ. If you ask me, too many "b sides" also.

I guess that WBOC's owners used to own another radio station years ago.
