Is there a reason why WBOQ cannot move their signal closer to Boston? I know there’s a low power radio station WRBB (Class D) run by Northeastern University, but the station is unprotected.
104.7 Cape Cod as well105.1 providence
104.7 Cape Cod as well

Let's Get It On, Groove Me, Shake Your Groove Thing, Get Down Tonight, Feel Like Making Love, etc. etc. There may be as many sex songs as there are love songs. How many secular songs are about anything other than love?
There is a running joke with Christuan radio, that in order to compete with another Christian station, you simply add one extra new sing to the Playlist.;DI would be surprised if the their listeners complained more. They have a niche format and listenership. Kind of like asking Facebook Groups dedicated to particular TV shows or movies if they like channels broadcasting the show/movie. I would theorize the sample to have positive reviews.
The benefit here is that these dame listeners (or a percentage of) are who essentially pays the bills. The big difference here is that they only need to clear nationally. Their listeners could be a relative small subpopulation of the overall population of radio listeners, yet if they donate enough to keep EMF in the black, then they have a sustainable model.
That's my professional take, and I'll leave my subjective stance out of it, which isn't a feeling of disdain towards religious based music.
EMF seems hit or miss on that front. They got new calls for WBRU Providence but not for WCCC Hartford. Maybe they figured CCC could stand for Connecticut Christian Contemporary. (Yeah, right.)Might the call letters get changed?
Even without the typos, I don't get the joke. There is a running joke with Christuan radio, that in order to compete with another Christian station, you simply add one extra new sing to the Playlist.;D
Back when WBOQ last upgraded their signal 10-ish years ago, I do recall a statement from the station that they had something in the works with another station owner to make 104.9 a full market signal. Presumably, that was Cumulus' 105.1, and clearly, that was never meant to be.Is there a reason why WBOQ cannot move their signal closer to Boston? It’s mainly to protect first adjacent 50kW Class B WWLI 105.1 in Providence, RI.Is there a reason why WBOQ cannot move their signal closer to Boston? I know there’s a low power radio station WRBB (Class D) run by Northeastern University, but the station is unprotected.
Not as long as there are unserved areas, signal improvements and contributions to be had. They want every American... even in Somoa and Puerto Rico... to be able to hear them. Will the EMF never ending take overs of commercial radio frequencies ever end?????
WCCC actually means We Cover Connecticut's CapitalEMF seems hit or miss on that front. They got new calls for WBRU Providence but not for WCCC Hartford. Maybe they figured CCC could stand for Connecticut Christian Contemporary. (Yeah, right.)
Based on this it looks like they would have more problems with 104.7 than 105.1..And quite a signal View attachment 3280
